Attorney Profiles‹‹ Back ‹‹ Plunkett & Gibson, Inc. - Tim T. Griesenbeck, Jr. - | | "People generally quarrel because they cannot argue." -- G. K. Chesterton "The law and the stage-both are a form of exhibition." -- Orson Wells | I am the Managing Shareholder of a law firm that practices throughout South Texas, representing individuals and companies who have problems, or are in trouble, or find themselves in lawsuits through no fault of their own. Our firm is involved in all aspects of civil law, from jury trials to mediated agreements, from transactions where everyone was happy, to transactions where everyone cried "foul." I have been with the firm since 1974, other than my four year tour of duty with the United States Army Judge Advocate General Corps. I am a native San Antonian, my family having arrived back in 1847. I attended Antonian High School in San Antonio, was in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M, and graduated with a B.A. in 1973. I returned to San Antonio and attended St. Mary's University School of Law, where I was Assistant Editor of the Law Review, and graduated with honors in 1976. I fulfilled my military obligation after law school as a Captain in the Judge Advocate General Corps, where I was assigned to the 3rd Infantry Division, Würzberg, Germany. At that time the post-Vietnam army was a source of many court martials and I gained invaluable trial experience as a prosecutor for two years, and then as a defense counsel for my latter two years. Since my discharge I have been with the firm for more than 20 years. I have tried over 100 civil and criminal jury trials. I have thoroughly enjoyed my experiences and look forward to our firm's bright future. I am proud to say that this is as fine a group of attorneys that you will find anywhere in the state and I believe everyone enjoys going to the office each day to practice law. There is a great sense of camaraderie and team work between the attorneys with the goal of achieving the best results for their clients advocating within ethical and moral guidelines. We truly try not to have a "bevy of briefcases" work on a file. We are proud of the fact that we have high quality lawyers who can obtain excellent results for their clients while charging what we believe to be reasonable fees.
"Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through our life trying to save." -- Will Rogers
Our secretarial staff is second to none with all of our legal secretaries having at least ten years of experience. However, we realize that we are counselors and that time is sometimes not of the essence. Although many of us pride ourselves on being excellent trial lawyers, we realize that the courthouse is the last resort for many of our clients, and we use all of our resources and assets to achieve prompt and reasonable settlements to protect our clients.
