- Nina Henderson (1959-2006) -

Blonde hair, kind eyes and always a smile. A beguiling and sometimes devilish sense of humor brought joy to those who worked around her. Nina had a varied practice that included general civil litigation, commercial transactions, bankruptcy, real estate and probate. Before attending law school, Nina was a commercial real estate broker and represented international investors, primarily from Mexico.

She approached the practice of law as someone who had been a consumer of legal services. As such, she appreciated the importance of looking at issues from the client's side of the table and always strove to consider the business and practical aspects of problem solving, along with the legal aspects. Nina was our fellow shareholder in the firm and was admitted to practice in Texas and in the federal courts of the Western and Southern Districts of Texas. She received her B.B.A. from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, in 1980, and her J.D. from St. Mary's University School of Law in San Antonio in 1989. She was an associate with our firm from 1991 through 1998, and became a shareholder in 1999.

Nina was born December 18, 1959, in Colorado Springs, Colorado and left us on March 19, 2006. She left behind a group of friends who remember her beguiling and devilish sense of humor that helped us all to keep everything in proper perspective. She was our friend and we miss her.
