I was born and raised in Weslaco, Texas where I graduated Valedictorian of my high school class. I received my Bachelor of Arts with a Major in Government from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. While studying at UT Austin, I interned at the Office of State Representative Armando Martinez, District 39, during the 80th Legislative Session. I attended St. Mary’s University School of Law, where I was inducted into the honorary legal fraternity, Phi Delta Phi. During my second and third year in law school, I worked as a Student Attorney at the Center for Legal and Social Justice providing legal services to low-income communities in San Antonio and along the border. After graduating law school, I joined Plunkett & Gibson, Inc. as an associate.
