It was originally formed by six attorneys in November 1979 because of their personal and professional respect for one another. Their individual and collective legal expertise and their desire for the best professional standards provided the core for one of the most highly respected law firms in San Antonio and South Texas. As a result of this strong foundation, the firm has enjoyed sustained growth while still maintaining the highest degree of integrity and quality of service at competitive fees.
The commitment, dedication, and camaraderie of Plunkett & Gibson, Inc.'s attorneys and staff have generated a superior record and a vastly expanded practice which includes appearances at all levels of state and federal judicial systems. The firm's primary areas of practice include personal injury, product liability, medical and professional malpractice, bankruptcy, fidelity, surety, construction, employment, and general commercial litigation.
The firm currently consists of fifteen shareholders, one associate, and one attorney who is Of Counsel. All attorneys are encouraged in the cooperative interchange of strategies and innovative ideas, which, when combined with energetic work habits, is an integral part of the firm's personality and one of its strongest qualities. Attorneys in the firm have lectured and published extensively throughout the State of Texas and have served as officers and directors in local, state, and national legal organizations. The firm also encourages its attorneys to continue actively their legal educations and has established an in-house training program covering all aspects of trial preparation and presentation. Each associate is motivated to develop his or her particular area of interest under the tutelage of more experienced attorneys.
